The past two years at EEGAFI have been filled with unforgettable memories—classroom laughter, sleepless nights preparing for projects, and the joy of achieving milestones with my friends. I remember the struggles of adjusting to senior high school, balancing academics with personal responsibilities, and overcoming self-doubt. HISTORY:      The story of Sinulog began in 1521 , a pivotal moment when the Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan arrived on the shores of Cebu . As a gift for the baptism of Hara Humamay (who was renamed Queen Juana ), Magellan presented her with a small wooden statue of the Santo Niño (the Child Jesus ). This moment is more than just a historical footnote; it is the bridge between the Philippines ' indigenous " pagan " roots and its deeply rooted Christian present.
